Well damn, actually I find this tip incredibly useful. I thank you for making your knowledge available to us, the commonfolk of DeviantArt. I, like a fool, had just used a single dot from the paintbrush tool to make hair strands. I can't believe I've never thought to make a custom brush.

I upgraded my photoshop to CS. And even after that whole thing, I still get the dots. :/

whenever I turn off spacing completly, I get nothing. So I leave it at 1% and it looks like it should in the example, but it never stays that way.
Do I have to save it somehow or something?

For some reason my brush don't tip at the end which makes it look like a hair strand/straw (whatever).... what's wrong? I use photoshop CS 2-

erm on shape dynamics, try setting everything to 0%

lol u wont get the pressure fade on each tip but u will get the strand effect ^^

I know, and that is helpful but maybe you should add on that without a tablet you wouldn't get it? I bet lots of people are confused by it.
