34th set.watched karate kid last night, and jesus, that was gash. it was so dumb! karate = japan!!!!!
the whole film was just like 'wtf' from start to finish.
What is up with these hollywood films??? only good film ive seen this year was inception, and apparently a lot of critiques say that the story is too complicated... when it reaaaaaaaally wasnt x_X. it was just another paprika concept.

i though inception was really good and fairly easy to get! but yeh karate kid was a waste of time- why try to compete with an original? awesome lines

Awesome drawings! I'm always impressed with people who seem to have anatomy down with such ease. ^^

Karate Kid was awesome! I watched it in Spanish ('cause I was visiting mis abuelos in mexico) and thought it was fuckin' great!
Still, you're right, karate=Japan. Why the hell did they put him in China learning kung-fu? The title was made into a lie. I would've loved to see him do his training on Mount Fuji, or something...

Haha, too difficult? I remember watching that behind-the-scenes-of-The-Matrix movie, and that guy who played Morpheus said that some people found the plot really difficult and had to read the script over several times until they got it...
And he (and I) said, "I got it the first time. It wasn't that hard."
So maybe, people are just dumb? :\

Psha, kung-fu kid would have gone so much better.
And Inception wasn't all that great. Plus, the theory wasn't complicated, it was wrong. They missed crucial details of the mind and they conviniently forgot BIG things when it was convinient. That's probably why. X3 That might just be me, though.

Jiu Jitsu (and modernly, Judo) = Japan.
What are you complaining about anyway? The title was kept only for legacy's sake--kid learns martial arts, kicks the ass of bullies. What's the problem with a little intentional inaccuracy for the sake of legacy?

nothing to do with its legacy. the film was just bad by itself anyway,bad acting, script etc. besides okinawa is still IN japan and karate IS a japanese word.

I watched karate kid and i find it disrespectful to have a title like that for a movie about a kid learning kung fu
I'm sure in Asia they called the movie "The Kung-Fu Kid" so why called it Karate kid in the west? It makes us westerners look dumb that we can't tell the difference or we think all martial arts are all the same regardless where it came from.
I havent seen Inception yet but when i saw the trailer, Paprika was the first thing that came to my mind.

I love the lines, the stances, the folds, the shading, the anatomy, EVERYTHING! All too well... pleasure for my eyes. And the foreshortening... pokefreak, I've seen many of your drawings with incredible perspective. How do you do the foreshortening? I've read tutorials about it, experimented(that figures) but every now and then, when things get out of control, I feel that something's off. I need some sort of guide, a key word, something to make me understand it better. ... I feel that I'm asking for too much but can you at least shed a little light? How do you foreshorten? Thanks in advance and sorry for ... the terrorizing.
