As most of you well know, I am, by no means a Blink 182 fan...but I have to credit this song for inspiring this drawing. Especially the part about Jack and Sally...
I suppose it's a bit like how everyone saw their rooms when they were little kids, in the middle of the night, after a bad dream, when you don't want to wake your parents and all your toys -normally at your mercy during the day- seem to turn on you and seek revenge. But there's always that one toy, a doll or a stuffed animal, that remains loyal to you, and can sympathize and do his or her best to keep the bad ones at bay until dawn breaks....

Yes! That's exactly how it was -- evil toys coming into their powers when night falls. I especially like the detail of the skeleton fish. Oh well, you won't see this if you're not online anymore, but I'm going to fav it so I can find it again.

o.o Am I the only one who somehow relates this piece with Elegant Gothic Lolita fashion? The general cute and innocent but creepy and forboding feeling to it..
I love the many smooth tones of grey and black. Everything looks so clean! What is it you used? It reminds me of Prismacolor markers. Makes me want to go out to my nearby art supply store and find something simular so my work looks less sketchy, as my usual medium on hand is bic menchanical pencils

Actually, Blink182 couldn't be furthur from my mind when I see this. Ever hear a Cure song called "Lullaby"? That's the song I hear when I see this.
The pirate monkey is so awesome! But my favorite has got to be the jack-in-the-box.

Can't stand Blink at all, but I must admit, their lyrics on that song are strangely creative. Amazing work, the technique, style, mood, everything works so well together.

i love the fish, and the monkey, and the jack-in-the-box and the car running over the littel dude ^^ theres so much detail! tis awesome! the folds in the girls clothes (especially her shirt) look really good too.
