Personality: Roland is a romantic person who has feelings for Tifa, who's the reason why he often visits the Seventh Heaven bar and the reason why he joined Avalanche. he's a smart guy, coming up with a plan in dire situation. however, Roland can also be very shy if he is on the spot light. and he also has a bit of a jealousy side to him as he always envious on cloud's closeness with Tifa.

Info/History: Roland was born in Sector 7 of Midgar, one day he went to a new bar that opened called the Seventh Heaven, there he meet the bartender of it, Tifa Lockhart. there Roland end up having a crush on her and immediately became a regular customer just to get attention from her.

At some point, Tifa started to notice Roland and have small talks with him, they started to get along as she then decided to trust in Roland and invite him to join Avalanche, which he obviously accept and joined. however Barret questions Roland's evaluation, if he joined Avalanche because he believes in the organization or that he only joined because of Tifa.

one day when Cloud joined Avalanche, a spark of rivalry came with in, as he was jealous on his closeness with Tifa and was annoyed when he found out that they were childhood friends.
