Hector from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, in full, glorious color! And that's one of his Innocent Devils with him: a fairy type that can heal, make him invincible, open chests, read ancient texts, things like that, depending on what kind you make. I didn't copy any in particular to do this one; I just drew a random fairy lol. But the pink on her wand is important; each of the IDs carry around that pink gem. One might have it as an eye, or in the middle of their body, etc. It even looks like the big ole' gem is sticking out of the first fairy's butt.

The title doesn't have to apply to the fairy...ohhh metaphorical!

here's the lines:
this one is supposed to be quite darker, as I had in mind that Hector is thinking about going after Isaac in this, with bitterness and vengeance in his heart as his little fairy follows merrily along, oblivious to what's going on. She would obey Isaac just as immediately and happily if it were he that brought her to life.

I'm not sur eif I like the strange, wet effect the markers made. And they seem to liquify the ink lines, depending on what kind of pen I use.

I need to remember that coloring is an important part of the process. Too often I get lazy and feel that coloring is a neccessary evil, but it can be fun on its own. Since I haven't done anything creative in several days, I took to coloring this with a rare vigor. It takes me longer to color than to pencil and ink, usually, but it always looks better that way. This is the first time I used two different shades of gray for the shading on his face, and first time using both markers and pencils
