My sweet swan girl! Hope ya like! ^^Full Name: Ninani Alenia
Pronunciation: Nih-nah-nee Al-en-ee-uh
Name Inspiration: Her first name comes from a book series called Spirit Animals. In it, there is a swan named Ninani. I really liked the name and I happened to remember it when deciding what to name my Wind wolf. Alenia mainly comes from Aleta, which is a multi-origin name, the meanings of which are “Female-Winged”, “Truthful”, and “Bird-like”.

Backstory: Ninani had been born into a litter to two merchant parents. From a young age, she was far more adventurous than her siblings, and mostly enjoyed learning about the crystals that her parents mined to trade, being completely fascinated by them. She wanted to grow up mostly to be a merchant just as her parents were, so that she could work with crystals as well. Her parents were happy to teach her, and felt the rank fit her more when Ninani developed her special ability, “Sonar”.
When the adults noticed the oncoming attack, Ninani was sent away with the other pups, and, being one of the oldest, stayed near the front of the group and used her ability to guide herself and the others through the storm. She was completely caught off guard when the Shadow Clan Wind wolves attacked. She was chased lower to the ground, where she was then brutally assaulted. When her eyes were ripped out, she instinctively used her ability to let out a disorienting screech, confusing her attackers long enough to allow her to escape. She found a place to hide and collapsed there, ears ringing from all the noise she’d just been exposed to, falling unconscious to the fuzzy screams of her fellow Wind pups, something that will forever haunt her. When she awoke, she was all alone and blinded. She went off on her own and spent several days wandering, sticking to the shadows and feeding off whatever she could find to keep safe. Eventually, it was Kareny who found her and brought her to the base. Kareny told her how they were only 2 among 7 of their pack to survive. Though saddened by this, Ninani knew she couldn’t let her fellow survivors down. She has grown extremely close to the other Wind survivors, to the point of seeing them as family, and greatly admires Kareny for her leadership, being loyal to her and the other survivors above all else. Though still traumatized by what she experienced, she holds no grudges towards any of the other Ghost Pups, no matter their species.
Personality: At first glance, Ninani is a quiet, gentle wolf. She doesn’t speak often, but her words are wise and meaningful when she does. She’s very calm and slow to anger, and often spends her time working alongside Micaiha as a Nanny, helping take care of the younger, rowdier pack members when not performing other duties for the pack, as she seems to have an infinite amount of patience. However, that is not to say she doesn’t know how to be assertive, and she is not afraid to put anyone in their place if she believes they step out of line. She is completely loyal to Kareny, even more so than Kane, and would do anything Kareny asks of her. She eventually grew to develop a crush on Kareny, but, due to her more selfless than not nature, she doesn’t act upon it as she knows at least one other survivor also has a crush on Kareny and wishes for them to have a better chance to gain the Wind leader’s affection. Because of her calming and gentle nature, she has become well known and loved by her fellow pack members.
Special Ability: Ninani has a special ability called “Sonar”. This ability allows her to produce soft sounds and vibrations that scan the area around her, before returning back and relaying to her the information. Think of it as an advanced form of echolocation. She also uses this ability to get around by making soft clicking sounds with her tongue and using the returning frequencies to judge what object are where and how to avoid them. Her hearing is also heightened and extremely sensitive, which was further heightened after becoming blind. Her ability also enables her to produce loud, disorienting screeches. Her ability isn’t without flaws, though. Due to her extremely sensitive hearing, she is more prone to internal ear damage because of loud noises than most. If she’s not careful, she is even capable of causing permanent damage to her hearing with her own disorienting screeches. To avoid this, she has to cover her ears as best she can before using her ability in that way. She is known to commonly visit the Healer’s Den for earaches due to her hypersensitivity. Because of the nature of her ability, it can be considered useful for several things and ranks, including Pack Watcher, Scout (particularly nocturnal aerial scouting, since she's a Wind wolf and doesn't need to rely on her sight), hunting, and more.
Charm Origins: A tiara and bracelet, both encrusted with a blue jewel. Gifted to her by her parents after her obsession with crystals and gems came to light. (Special thanks to LumaTheDragonQueen for the idea for a tiara charm! ^^)
Scar Origins: She has scars on her face from when she lost her eyes during the attack. (Should you choose to accept her, here's her ref without her scars so you have a clearer view of her markings sta.sh/01b42ljfu9t6 . You are also free to alter her scars as you see fit if you choose to accept her but desire her scars to look different.)

Fun Facts:
Her special ability was inspired by bats
She was planned with a bat summoning if Wind would end up having summons. This was scrapped as the Wind don’t have summons.
She was originally just going to be a super shy baby, but this was changed
She originally was going to have a blindfold charm, but this was scrapped.
Originally, she was going to be the mate of my Psychic entry, Aisling. This had to be changed when Aisling didn’t get accepted.
Her markings were based off a Swan.
Her name was originally going to be Odette, after the leading female character from "Swan Lake".
She was always planned to be blind.
She was always planned with two marking colors, but the darker blue was originally going to be as dark as Kareny’s. This was changed as I didn’t want her to seem like somewhat of a copy considering so many other blues were available.
She has slightly larger wings that most of her species.
I'm considering pairing her with Fallon if she gets in and keeps her sexuality.
She actually isn't my first Wind wolf. My first was a female named Sora that was mated to a female Ghost wolf. Sora died during the attacks. Her design is in the process of being redone as the original was completely inaccurate to her species, as it exhibited orange markings, which cannot occur in Wind wolves under normal circumstances or even as a color mutation.
Ninani was first thought of several months ago, around the beginning of this year I believe.
Ninani is among my top favorites of my fan characters. She's probably one of, if not the, top favorite of my females, which I actually have more than you would think as several have yet to be posted.
As mentioned earlier, LumaTheDragonQueen gave me the idea for her tiara like charm. I was having trouble with charm ideas and she suggested this as we didn't think it had been done before. Thanks again, friendo! It worked out really well! ^^

I’m a book away from finishing the entire series, but I’ve been stalling because I don’t really want it to end (and five bucks says it won’t, I’m almost positive they’ll bring out more books because the last two times I thought that they surprised me)
