Sextonville, Wisconsin, January, 8th, 2024. My apologies for the poor lighting, a snowstorm was moving in and I wasn't going to get a second chance.

Except for the sign, the location of the Riverside Motel is now just an empty lot. The home of the original owners is sill standing and so is the now empty Los Amigas restaurant that shared a parking lot with the motel.

The following quote is something written by Lisa Rove-Williams on a Flickr page about this same motel.

"Frank and Ilse Rove owned it from approximately 1986-1997. The motel was charming at the time, with small flower gardens throughout the property and hanging baskets of flowers along the covered walkways of the motel. Original artwork hung in all the motel rooms. Guests received trays of coffee, juice and fresh pastries delivered to their rooms in the morning by Frank and baked from scratch by Ilse. Returning guests were frequently invited to the owners’ home for lunch, dinner or cocktails. When the Roves retired, the property was sold and almost immediately declined."
