This is the gate that is in back of what was my grandparents' house. The dirt road on the other side winds its way though the farm past all the fields and pastures. It eventually leads to where my great grandparents used to live on the other side of the farm.

My brother and I climbed this gate hundreds of times during my childhood.

Almost 20 years ago, I took my wife to the farm for the first time, while we were on our honeymoon. We still joke about, because when we set off to walk across the farm together, I insisted that she climb the gate too.
