I was drawing this gal as a friend was venting and once I got her all cleaned up and coloured she looked too alone so I quickly slapped some grass and a sky on with some bad shading as an excuse to put out a full piece for once. I’ve been liking the art I’ve seen of her from others with a stripe and also possibly maned. With a new potential parentage I think it fits her quite well.

I also just put some basic scaring on her shoulder as a replacement for the lion guard tattoo and past idea of scaring to mark guard members. It’s simple but I think effective. If I keep the burn mark for the past members as canon my universe I’ll have it so that she just scarred herself in a new way to symbolize the change from past to present and it also seems like a Vitani move to take something the way it’s always been (ritualistic and complex) to something uniquely hers in a more simpler and effective way.
