Description
ATTENTION! This is an outdated skin and won't work anymore. Please go to the followup skin instead: [link]deviantGREEN v6 lite β a skin for deviantART.com
INFO:
- This skin enhances many (all eventually) pages on deviantART and brings back missing effects, most notably green coloured links with hover effects (aka mouseovers).
As the title says, this is a "lite" skin, which means, I left the background-colours more or less untouched and in new v6- and gruser-style. Why? Because I like it, it's as simple as that. It just wasn't necessary to re-colour every page, like back with v5. v6 gave them back lots of the green. I only changed what was necessary, removing all the white and bright areas. But maybe I'll write a "full" version of deviantGREEN some day that colours every page in the same green as your userpage. What says you?
FEATURES:
- Hover links everywhere! Move your mouse over any link and see at least a underline change or a different colour.
- Grey links! No more distracting blue-ish
- Links and colours shouldn't interfere with journalskins anymore
- Dimmed link colours for visited/read News and Forum threads
- Minor background colour changes on some pages
- Detailed Message Count (thanks `thespook )
- Properly skinned pageview stats page
- Big avatars in your Shoutbox
- New comments are slightly bigger (higher) so they don't appear as cramped together
- There's also a small image down in the footer that tells you if your skin is outdated and a new version available!
CHANGELOG:
- 2008.07.14: v6.00: Initial release.
- 2008.08.26: v6.01: updates include Rockdock bar (the one on top), Settings & Profile page, Your Journal page, Public Polls, and input fields.

Thank you!
But you know, I didn't enable Critiques on this one on purpose, since it's a skin that I made primarily for myself. So to put it bluntly, I won't listen to any person's critique anyway - if you know what I mean

Hi there - I may have a problem with this script. On both Firefox and Flock browsers my profile edit buttons have disappeared and also when I tried to report a deviation there was no confirmation button.
Now my flock is working since I disabled this stylish script.
But firefox is still not so maybe its something else. Anyway I just wanted to update you on that just incase it was your script. I know that flock is not exactly made for greasemonkey & stylish scripts but most of them worked.
xx
ps. Its a great looking script otherwise!

Thanks!
To be honest, I haven't looked at it in Flock, ever. But I'm not having any issues with the script on Firefox (and I'm using the same version as everybody else). And it would be weird if I had, since I'm not touching the Edit buttons with this skin. So it might be something else..

I have a doubt. How do we edit this script as you mention earlier?

Rightclick on the Stylish icon in the Firefox statusbar -> select "Manage Styles". There you look for "deviantGREEN v6 lite", click on it and then click "Edit". Then a new window opens with my CSS that you can edit. Some CSS knowledge is of course required for this..
e.g.:
To move the tabs back to the left, look for the section that has a comment /* move tabbar back to the right */, and then delete these 4 lines.

Y'know I like ur deviantgreen. A few new things are not good for the eye though. Like the Box for DD . And its good to have the tabs on thr left than the right!
Also I have this latest script installed but it is still showing deviantGreen out of date!!

You can always disable the parts that you don't like - most of it has comments to it.
Regarding the out of date notice.. I know about it, it happens some times, but I'm not sure what's causing it. Maybe clearing your cache helps.

Oh cool I shall edit it then!
But I did clear my cache and history and everything possible! It still shows un-updated!!

Hm, I don't know then, I'm sorry. It obviously is a feature that doesn't work as smoothly as I had planned, so I'll remove it soon, anyways..

Don't worry, I didn't find it long at all! And I guess it must be really hard work.
Thank you very much again for this! <3 And keep up the awsome work!

Yes, I noticed, and I'm already in the process of fixing it (and a few other things while I'm at it). Expect an update in 2 days or so.

Does this recognize Critique notices in the messages? I don't think it does, because it just has two brackets with nothing in them up at the top. Might you be able to do something about that?

rotane In reply to Stollrofl [2009-06-28 09:00:12 +0000 UTC]
I'm sorry, Critiques have no letter there. All this script does is to grab the title attribute of the "X Messages" thing and displays it in brackets. Unfortunately, nothing I can do there

Interesting layout. The site would look more efficient if your ideas were put in to site standards. Say for example this would be the new site layout, certainly a well deserved Daily Deviation. I might try and install, but I just need to see if it is free.

Well thanks a lot! It's just a collection of tweaks though, I wouldn't consider it a new layout. But what do you mean, it's definitely "free", anyone can install it (and you're not even limited to Firefox).
