Fantastic. Couldn't agree with you more. This looks like something from some early 1960s highschool kid's sketchbook. You just don't see art with that 'feeling' anymore. Keep it up!

i like to imagine that soldier just lost his eye but is a trooper and saying something like, "no sir, i'm fine! let's keep going!!"
