Late reply I know but basically it means he has a passing interest in little girls, nothing major but definitely want to keep this creep mofo away from school playgrounds, keep in mind Alice said in her "Through the Looking Glass" book she was 7 & half. So...yeah. He needs to have a seat right over there.

I'll admit that I've never really liked Jervis as a paedophile; it always seemed to me like the writers felt like Jervis was so goofy that they needed to make him "extreme" by giving him paedophile tendencies (the same applies to the paedophile rapist Toyman from the 1990s). Other than that though, I do like this version of Tetch, being suitably quirky and odd enough to make him interesting whilst still being an obviously bad person.

It is reasons like this that I consider the Arkham Files to be only semi-canon to Earth-27. Most information in those was taken from straight from comic sources until I had begun to get a better concept for where I wanted to take Earth-27.

Huh, interesting. If you ever had the time, would you go back and remove whatever material you dislike from these semi-canon sources, or are you planning on just keeping them around as relics of the early days?

If I had the original files I would have done so alreadyy but as it stands now I would have to recreate them all I am now that motivated.

I think that "Alice" thing is more of a fetish than erotomania.

Agree to disagree, but in Earth-27, it is erotomania.

I just googled erotomania and the definition is a delusional disorder where the affected person believes that another person is in love with him or her. Basically what Calander man and Harley Quinn have.

i was wondering whether you'd go with the pedo angle or the 'as long as there's a hat on it' angle

There are a lot of villains people can relate to, which is one reason why Batman has the best villains. The only one which I really feel sorry for though is Mr Freeze.

True dat.
Unrelated question:do the villains make batman or does batman make the villains?
Because to me it seems that batman is kind of the straightman to some of the baddies insanity.

Senseless crime creates Batman, Batman creates costumed villains, villains create more senseless crime... and the circle is complete.

Actually I meant which make the comics more memorable and popular?
Because to me I think it's the extensive rogues gallery.

Oh, yeah... A hero is only as good as his villains. Batman would be a lot less popular if he had, say, Flash's gallery of rogues.
There's a reason I started this series with the villains.

1)what do you mean "a hero is only as good as his villains"?
2)what wrong with flash's rouges?

A hero can be good or interesting on their own, but to make them great or popular they need an excellent villain to oppose them.
It's a common dramatic convention.
There is nothing wrong with Flash's villains other than I would say fewer of them are as iconic, interesting, or compelling as Batman's villains. Batman is widely accepted as having the best villains in all of comicdom.

Tendency, as in depicting Alice in something like the Disney look with the childish looking dress and such.
