The use of "le" before a house name (or a derivative spelling of a house name) is to signify they are from a lesser house absorbed into the ranks of the greater house and not a 'true' member of that house. Example: Lori Lemaris' name indicates that her house 'Lemaris' is a lesser house that was once absorbed into House Marius.

The use of "din" before a location is used to denote one's birthplace. Usually only used among bastards and knights from commoner parents to distinguish themselves further from others that may share their given name. This is almost always dropped from someone's name when they are legitimatized or found a noble house of their own. Example: Tula zin'Themyscira ["Tula, born of Themyscira"]

Some modifiers may be added to a person's given name rather than their house name, usually used to distinguish their history. Example: Kaldur'ahm translates to "Kaldur, Sworn to the Crown", sliz'Zath translates to "Zath, the Kinslayer", La'gaan translates to "the dry dreamer"
