Description
Redesigned for the F-Zero VX Project, here is Princia Ramode!Because my VX Project is set a few years after the GX Grand prix, Princia has grown a few years older also and has matured both in her looks, and her driving style.
Since her first season of racing, she has cut her hair, and continued to race in her Spark Moon #36, becoming a phenomenonal racer on the grid, normally placing within the top 10. She is a very skilled, yet playful racer and this is one thing she has kept as she has grown older, her more cheerful and playful side, yet she can be serious when the time comes.
She enters the F-Zero VX Grand Prix to hone her abilities, and gain even more experience before she is to become the Queen of Magica, a planet which has recently begun to create a new state of the art F-Zero Circuit complex.
Princia Ramode and Spark Moon #36 originally is from F-Zero AX, designs owned by Nintendo.
Redesigned and older Princia is drawn by me, for the F-Zero Project.

Thanks, im glad you think this! I didn't want to veer too far from the original design but i just felt that if she was to grow up, she would lose her long hair, or at least have it down *makes me want to draw her with her hair down...

I love your picture. Princia was my favourite racer from F-Zero GX.
Do you know Smash Bros.? I don't know why they put there just one character from F-Zero. Your mature Princia could maybe be a Smash Bros. fighter. It was a good idea to make her look older, about 20 years old. If a new F-Zero game comes, why not appearing like that?
Personally, I prefered the old hair, but this one fits very well her.
You drew her in a more confident pose. The one we could see on her profile, or even on the AX poster looked like she was in F-Zero competitions for fun. In your picture her attitude looks like she takes racing much more serious.
About the background... it's as good as the character. She was native from a desert kingdom, and finally someone put her on her respective environment. I like too the sun and those transparent light circles.
However, I think that Spark Moon needs a retouch. It looks like you used the 3d model from F-Zero GX and saturated it. Its shadows on the sand don't match the remaining ones. You see, the machine shadows are orange and the ones scattered through the dunes are more grey.
Anyway, it's a nice picture, and Princia's F-Zero machine is the only thing misplaced, according to my opinion. On the other hand, Princia is brilliantly placed and shaded.

Princia is one of my favourites too, her machine is a real challenge to handle though at high speed! Indeed, i could imagine her in Smash, though i would love to see Pico with his ranged weaponry in Smash but then again its Nintendo we are talking about and chances of that happening are low ¬_¬;

I did try and make her look more stronger and serious with her pose so i really appreciate you have spotted this, and with the background too representing Magica her home planet
That is True with the Spark Moon i admit, it was a final touch thing which i should have put a bit more effort in so tat is correct what you have said and i will keep that in mind when i next do a picture similarly (possibly Lily Flyer next, or a GX roster pilot.)
This wasnt too long at all, i really apreciate it when people take the time to make big comments like this so thanks for the feedback, i will keep it in mind for when i do my next pilot

I was debating this, but it just didnt look good.. maybe i should have incorporated it a little more into the picture in the linearting stages, but its done now. She wont have short hair for long, thats for sure!

Background:
I really do like the texture and you have done well to get the desert effect in there , and i like how you have added her transportation in there as well.
I also like how you have captured the flare from the sun accross the background towards her (if that makes sense)
Overal the background has some wonderfull colour and texture.
Princia:
As i said before the hair i really like because it seems to me
like its alot bolder and you have added more texture compared
to previous hair styles you have done (this is good dont worry).
The headband i think is a nice accessory and you have positioned this well imo.
Face, i do like her eye it is quite striking (although i am not sure
whether it was that you were going for). Her nose i must say i am not
keen on its a bit too pointy imo (i feel like a bitch for saying that ><
the lips i do like though they have a nice colour and texture.
All the skin shading is really well done especially on the stomach
you have shaded in the shape really well there!.
The outfit i really like and you have done well to keep the hearts in there
but not too much , i also like how you have added the right texture and
for her bust added what seems to be a few stretch marks to the clothing
(again i dont know whether this was intentional lol).
But another body thing i have noticed is that on her left hand (from where i am sitting)
her thumb is very blunted off compared to the other fingers that are nicely curved.
BUT overal i think you have done very well with this pic and it is really good to see you progress over many things and try out new things aswell
It is a really good start to your 2010 artwork and i hope to see many more REALLY good pieces from you ^^.

To me it seems you made her abit serious, nothing wrong with how you see it, but I prefer her design from GX or one that continues it from a base.
It seems to suit her more cheerful and upbeat nature.

For the most part, it's just not my thing. It's a design I'm not for changing, especially her hair. Besides how old is she again?
Main reason I still prefer Falcon's SNES suit compared to the nipple suit from X. Though I prefer Black Shadow's GX design from his X, cause he looked like a bad fusion between the Tick & Darkseid in that game.
