The announcer steps back into the ring:"The following match is a special rules Judoka match with a 5 minute time limit! Introducing first, fighting out of the land of the rising sun, weighing 106lbs. Standing 5'4" tall, she is the queen of Izumo-ryū Jujutsu, everyone please welcome RYOOOOKOOOOO IZUUUUUMOOOOOO!Izumo steps out from behind the curtain as the live performing Kodō play their infamous drumming troupe, hyping up the crowd. Izumo has a cheery and cute demeanor, but is known to be an absolute killer with her throwing and strangling techniques. She paces her way down the ramp and rolls into the ring, climbing one of the corners and raising her arm, embracing the crowds love and cheers."And her opponent, fighting out of Osaka Japan! Weighing 110lbs. Standing 5'5" tall, she is the self proclaimed Judoka champion in all of the Eastern Islands….please welcome, RYOOOOKOOOOOO KAAAANOOOOO!"The live Kodō perform another one of their drumming troupes as Kano makes her way out from behind the curtain. The fans cheer for her, but Kano isn't about appeasing the fans as she has a score to settle with Izumo who was waiting for her in the ring. They have been rivals since they were teenagers, each finding success within their own niche, and for over 30 years, they have been exchanging barbs and fighting people from each other's dojos, but never did they face each other 1 versus 1. It finally reached a boiling point and they wanted to settle their score in an impartial setting. They found that Fighting Angels would give them just that through Apocalypse as well as broadcast the fight for the world to see, so they can settle once and for all who is the true Judo Queen. Kano rolls into the ring and walks over to her corner, staring at Izumo with intent. The referee walks to the centre of the ring. He signals for both fighters to step forward as the announcer held the mic to the mouth of the ref:"Alright ladies, you know the agreed-upon rules. This is a modified Judoka match which allows for strikes. Ippons are not match enders, however, points will accumulate based on the Judo pointing system, and will determine a victor at the end of the 5 minutes. Both ladies agreed that the loser is stripped of her belt and gi as a representation that she has lost the title of judo queen. Touch gloves, and let's put on a show!"Izumo extends her glove but Kano doesn't reciprocate, giving her a nasty look before back pacing to her corner. Kano reminded her that their 30+ year rivalry was still as fresh as ever in her brain. "No touch? I'll show you what touching is in a second, Gizen-sha!" Izumo exclaimed as she paced back to her corner as well.Megan, who was sitting in gorilla, was very excited to host this match. The 5 minute time limit may have come as a shock to the fans, but for those who watch Judo, or specifically, these two ladies in action know that their bouts are often short, brutal and decisive. "Better not blink." Megan thought to herself.DING DING DING!The two ladies immediately pace forward and lock arms, demonstrating their fundamental Judo base as they both attempt to gain advantage. Izumo pivots, then grabs Kano's arm, dragging her to the ground and slamming her back.IPPON! - 100 points for IzumoThe fans cheered as they now realized what to expect. Someone was going to go down and they were going to go down fast.Kano rolled back and recovered as she glared at Izumo for her brazen approach. Had this been a standard Judo match, their 30 year rivalry would have ended within less than a minute. Incensed, she charges at Izumo as they lock up again, but this time, Kano uses a foot sweep to try and trip Izumo down and partially succeeds.Yuko! - 1 point for KanoKano doesn't let go and continues to maintain pressure to bring Izumo to the floor. Eventually, she succeeds and pins her face down while twisting her arm behind her back. Izumo growls in pain for about 15 seconds before Izumo was able to dislodge Kano, rolling towards safety.Waza-ari! - 10 points for KanoThe two ladies approach each other. Kano once again goes for the lockup as she feels she has Izumo where she wants her but suddenly, Izumo runs across the ring and gives Kano a rising split kick, connecting squarely onto Kano's chin. Kano staggers as Izumo continues her offensive, grabbing Kanos' arm and flipping her on her back again.Ippon! - 100 points for IzumoIzumo doesn't stop there, as she pins down Kano with a knee to the stomach, and drops a fist right onto Kano's chest. As Kano gasps for air, she drops another fist down onto Kano's face, dazing her. Izumo rolls off her victim and stands boldly in front of a groveling Kano.Kano was in serious trouble as she struggled to recover from Izumo's vicious assault. As soon as she got to her knees, Izumo jumped on Kanos' back and cinched in a tight rear naked choke as she wrapped her legs around her waist. Kano frantically tried removing Izumo's arms but her grip was too tight. She then tried to relieve the pressure around her ribs but Izumo had a firm grip. Kano could do nothing as she felt the darkness creeping into her peripherals, and within a matter of seconds, after a slight convulsion, Kano was knocked out. Izumo released the pressure but maintained the grip so she can get the full Ippon after 20 seconds of subduing her. Izumo says as she rubs her foot on Kano's cheek."Well you did a fantastic job! Any shoutouts?""Yes! Shoutouts to my family, friend and students who are all watching today's event! Also, shoutouts to one of my favourite students Thuraya, who learned her Judoka under my watchful eye! I know you will win tonight and make everyone proud!""Ryoko Izumo everyone!" The fans cheer as she removes her foot off her former rival's face and leaves the ring. Izumo found Megan in the back where they embraced. Megan was so impressed with her showing, she hands Izumo a FASS card, letting her know she can come practice and teach Judoka at any point she wants. Moments later, ring crew arrive to revive Kano and safely escort her out of the ring to prepare for the next match...the Faye Open challenge. Stay tuned!
