Spartacus-124 asked me how I'd draw the Alolan variant of exeggutor so I decided to just go ahead and sketch it. Looking back at my old saurian design I think it works even better with this new form, although I also go inspiration from the galapagos tortoise and the ostrich. Also doodled an update on my exeggcute design. Hope you like!Related content

This is both awesome, but also cute to imagine. An Alolan exeggutor going for a stroll with its little ones (making sure not to step on them...this has to be the tallest Pokemon in the games, excluding the legendaries who are supposed to be big). That height sure must come in handy to keep watch for danger.
But imagine all the eating required to get that tall...Alolan is indeed paradise. Will you do some more of the Alolan forms? I like the Alolan Muk and Grimer and also the Geodude line (minus the Golem...itβs kind of meh for me).

Thank you, thanks for the suggestion. I try not to overthink these designs too much but the basic idea is that the exeggcute cling to their parent with their little claws and form a hard outer skin similar to a pupa. They eventually fall off and hatch as a fully formed exeggutor. The palm fronds are actually feathers similar to a peacocks. Sort of a dinosaur that undergoes a metamorphosis similar to insects.

In-universe, it's probably a subspecies of Exeggutor. Yeah.
