Description Smaller Buildings collapsed as the machine lumbered thorugh the shell that had once been a city.  A few larger buildings shook as their foundations were rocked by the seismic activity as the 20 ton mech slammed it's feet into the ground, forcing itself to stop it's forward momentum, throwing dirt and cement hundreds of feet before it.  Twisting just below the torso the mechanical creation scanned it's surroundings.  After a full minute of observation the mech pulled it's feet from the ruts it had created with it's sudden stop, placing them more evenly.  The sound of it's aether engine revved up as the machine began to crouch.  Suddenly a blast of steam eminated from the legs of the machine as it leapt high in the air, leaving a long trail of steam behind it, and making it an easy target... I look forward to reading an elaboration on this, I'm a big Sci-Fi fan. (True Sci-Fi, like PKD and Asimov.)

Thank you, this is kind of an alternate reality sci-fi as it is a 'steampunk' setting. This means everything from cars to large cities are powered/run using steam created from an objects known as 'aether crystals' which a friend of mine invented or found, I haven't figured out yet. Basically if you run a current through these crystals they produce steam, but this steam isn't good for humans which I will elaborate on in the 'second chapter' (this being the first part of the first chapter XD). I'll post the complete version of this chapter once I finish it (got to many things on my mind and to much work on my plate XD)
