tis the same hat from [link]an older art project done in 3 layers
1st layer- background
2nd layer- his body
3rd layer-his hat and hand
its done in the italian sgrafitto style...which is just scrathing away...i scratched away the black to reveal the shiny silver. this picture won a silver key(2nd place) at a regional art show

dude, once i realized i woudl be doing it in reverse i was literally like "oh shit" but it wasnt as hard as i thought, i just had to focus so i didnt screw up...i drew it on scrap paper first then took a wood stick thingy and traced over the drawing with the sgrafitto board underneath...that made it easier
