This is a Harry/Draco fanfic. That means boy/boy. If you don't like, don't read. That is all.
It had finally happened. Harry Potter had gone certifiably insane. Not only had he run away from the Order, he had run away with Draco Malfoy, the last person he’d ever thought of being on this crazy adventure with. On top of that they were now lost, wandering around in some god-forsaken forest because that was what an Oracle had told them to do.
Draco had taken everything in stride up until the point they had entered the forest some twenty-odd hours ago. It was hard to tell how long it had actually been. Since being in the forest everything seemed to blur into one continuous day. Needless to say, Draco was not enjoying himself. He had been fine leaving the Leaky Cauldron and staying in several Muggle inns. He had even been the one who had suggested searching the nearby forest because of what the Oracle had said. But now that they were actually in the forest he had changed his tune. Draco didn’t like the dirt. Draco didn’t like the trees. In short, Draco didn’t like nature. At least he didn’t like this particular forest. He reminded Harry of this fact every couple of minutes.
“I’m sorry, Draco!” Harry finally shouted. He was on his last straw. The truth of the matter was that Harry didn’t like being in the forest any more than Draco did. Harry had been in some creepy forests before but at this moment, the forest they were in now was by far the creepiest. He wanted out just as badly as Draco did. The only problem was that they seemed to be lost. No, not seemed. They were lost. Completely, utterly and hopelessly lost.
Draco crossed his arms. “Don’t shout at me, Potter,” he said crossly. “Just find us a way out of this hell hole.”
“I’m trying!” Harry exclaimed. “I’m not an expert on navigation.”
“Clearly,” Draco muttered.
Their tempers were running high and the tension was a thick fog between them. Since that night in the Leaky Cauldron they hadn’t taken their relationship any further. Harry sighed and placed his hand over his eyes. What exactly had the Oracle’s instructions been again? Location always changing, something about being brave, a forest and…
“Draco, what was the last bit that the Oracle said?” Harry asked suddenly.
Draco pulled out the now crumpled piece of parchment and read the last line, “To seek, to answer all you must do is here.”
Harry thought back to when they had summoned the Oracle. He’d been unclear about the last line then, too. Had the Oracle said ‘here’ or ‘hear’?
“Read the entire thing,” Harry said.
Draco did so without question. He looked up when he was finished. “Harry?”
“Draco, are we lost right now?” Harry asked slowly.
“We have been wandering around in a forest. Yes, we are lost, Potter!” Draco growled.
“Good.”
“Good? This is good, now?”
“Yes, that’s what the Oracle said to do,” Harry said, deep in thought. He looked up at Draco. “Give me your hand.”
Draco did and Harry pulled him down to sit on the ground.
“Potter, what…?” Draco started but Harry hushed him to be quiet. He lay down and indicated for Draco to do the same thing. “Could you enlighten me on what precisely we are doing?”
“Listen,” Harry said. “Just listen. Close your eyes and listen.”
Harry felt Draco relax beside him. Harry tuned into Draco’s even breathing and matched his own to it. That was all there was. Just breathing and a slight humming that was getting noticeably louder with each passing second. It was the hum of the forest, of every living creature within it.
Hear, here, hear, here, Harry thought in his mind.
The humming grew louder and louder until there was room for nothing more in Harry’s brain. It was just the constant humming which was about to make his head explode if it didn’t cease. And then, everything was quiet.
Harry opened his eyes. Standing in front of them were three very beautiful women. They were clad in white robes which seemed to shimmer with a soft seashell light of their own. Their faces where pleasant enough but each carried a dreamy expression which reminded Harry a little of Luna Lovegood.
Harry stood up and pulled a very stunned Draco to his feet. They were no longer in the same space in the forest. Everything around them gleamed as if it all carried magic, right down to the grass under their feet which seemed just a little too green.
“Ah, Harry Potter,” one of the women said, stepping forward. She had brown hair and amber eyes. “We’ve been expecting you.”
“You’ve been expecting me?”
“Yes, please follow us,” another said, a blond with one green eye and one blue eye. “We will take you to Morgana.”
Harry was about to do so when Draco caught him by the arm. Harry looked at him questioningly, to which Draco merely shook his head.
“I’m not sure about this, Harry,” Draco said quietly.
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t know,” Draco answered, fearfully looking over his shoulder. “I get this feeling that something doesn’t want me here.”
Harry took Draco’s hand in his. “We’ve come this far,” he said. “It would be a shame to turn back now. We’re close to something, Draco, I know we are. Don’t you think the same?” When Draco didn’t look entirely convinced Harry added, “Nothing’s going to hurt you while I’m here.”
“It’s not just myself I’m concerned for,” Draco murmured.
The last woman in white suddenly reappeared in front of them. She had red hair and eyes so dark they were almost black. “This way please,” she said.
Still holding Draco’s hand, Harry followed.
“Where are we?” Harry asked the woman with red hair.
“This is Morgana’s domain,” she answered. The breath of her voice made Harry shiver. “But you should already know that, Harry Potter. Is this not what you were searching for?”
It was. However at the moment Harry couldn’t remember exactly why. Sirius, Necromancy, the Oracle that had led them here, it was all a constant blur in Harry’s confused head.
Harry looked around. The forest where they suddenly found themselves was definitely a peculiar one. Everything was calm and peaceful. It reminded Harry of the time in between sleep and being awake. When all the tension in your body is erased and everything around you is more beautiful than it actually is. The sky was dark above them and Harry could see stars glimmering through the tops of the trees. But that couldn’t be right. Had it not only been midday when they had come?
“Excuse me,” Harry said. “But could you tell me what time it is?”
“There is no time here,” the blond woman said. “Time does not exist.”
“So it’s always night, then?”
“The present state is how it always is, always has been and always will be,” she answered. She didn’t seem annoyed by the question, but Harry decided that it would be for the best if he didn’t say anything else for the time being.
“We are here,” the blond woman said.
Harry glanced all around. There wasn’t anything there. In fact, it didn’t seem any different than the place they had started from.
“Errr, where is she?” Harry asked.
All three of the women lifted their hands to point. Harry jumped as an altar seemed to appear right in front of them. Lying on the altar was another woman also clad in white robes. She was beautiful, but in the way a young girl might be beautiful, not in the way most would expect a full grown woman to be. She was pure, innocent, but wise, and Harry could do nothing but stare. Her skin was so white and unmarked; she was even fairer than Draco who was barely a shade deeper than a bed sheet. Her hair, which fell down to the small of her back, was white as well. Yes, she was certainly lovely. The only trouble was she looked like she was dead.
“Is she still alive?” Harry asked, hoping he didn’t sound rude.
“Oh, yes,” the brown haired women said. “As alive as she ever will be. She will be awake momentarily.”
Harry watched as the woman’s eyes fluttered open. They were white as well. The pupils, the iris, all of it was white. Harry presumed this meant that she was blind. That was not the case, however, and he jumped back when her eyes flickered to him. She laughed at this. Her voice sounded like one of a child’s, which startled Harry.
“I am Morgana,” she said. Her voice was like waves crashing on a distant beach and as soft as the moonlight. “I have been waiting for you, Harry Potter.”
Harry nodded in reply. Her white eyes fell on his hand clasped with Draco’s and then to Draco, himself.
“I see that you have brought along a companion,” Morgana said simply.
“Err, yes,” Harry said. “This is…”
“Draco Malfoy,” Morgana interjected.
“You know my name,” Draco said nervously.
“I know all names,” Morgana answered, a slight smile on his lips. Her eyes fell on Harry once more and Harry could almost feel heat from her gaze. “I understand that you have come here seeking answers. Rest assured that all of your fears will be short-lived.”
“Yes,” Harry began. “I want to know everything there is to know about…”
“I see that you are weary,” Morgana interrupted. “You will rest here until your strength has returned to you. Then we will discuss what you have come here for.” Her tone, while gentle, gave no room for argument and Harry shut his mouth and nodded. Morgana motioned to her subordinates. They placed their cool hands on Harry and Draco’s backs and led them away. They escorted them a little ways away from Morgana’s resting place to a section of the forest that had been made up to look like the inside of a bedchamber. Or, at least it had a bed in it and white free floating sheets all around it hiding the little sanctum from view.
“You may rest here,” one of the women said. Harry wasn’t sure which one.
“Thank you,” Harry said, but they were already gone.
Draco sat down on the bed and Harry saw that his hands were shaking in his lap. Harry sat down next to him and took Draco’s hands into his own.
“How can you be so brave?” Draco whispered.
“I don’t know,” Harry answered honestly. “Mostly stupidity, I imagine, mixed with rashness and the fact that I don’t give a damn, anymore.”
Draco turned his wide grey eyes brimming with tears to Harry. “Kiss me, hold me, love me,” he said.
Harry did, latching his lips so tightly onto Draco’s that it hurt. He could tell from his heavy breathing that Draco was trying very hard to keep his composure and that it just wasn’t going to work.
“It’s all right, Draco,” Harry breathed in his ear. “Just because I can’t cry doesn’t mean you shouldn’t.”
Draco shook his head. “I’ve been crying for too long,” he said. “I don’t want to cry anymore.”
Harry drew back to look at him. “Have a little faith,” Harry told him. “Trust me.”
“I do trust you, Harry,” Draco said seriously. “It’s the rest of the world I have doubts about.”
Harry brushed his fingers over the bruise on Draco’s cheek. “We’re safe here. You don’t have to be afraid.”
Draco nodded. “I know.”
“Come on,” Harry said, pulling Draco to lie down with him. “Let’s get some rest.”
Draco nodded again and curled up on his side to nestle up against Harry. Harry closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around Draco. It felt like they had been running for so long and it was nice that they could rest in a place he knew would be safe.

“Is it ready, Wormtail?” Voldemort said in an icy voice.
“Almost, my lord,” Wormtail said. He was shaking all over, which transferred into his voice.
“Excellent,” Voldemort said. “All we need now is the boy and I shall become more powerful than ever!”
“But my lord,” Wormtail croaked. “We have not been able to locate him. He’s with…him.”
“Do not despair, Wormtail. Let them keep on running. They will not be able to do so forever,” Voldemort said. He laughed a little “When that time comes, the closer they are then, the more entertaining it will be to rip them apart.”
~~~
Harry was startled awake, a cold sweat dripping down his back and Voldemort’s chilling words echoing in his head.
