Once there was a war between technology and nature, the gods had crafted a number of races to protect natural ones that would be hurt by ever growing technology.
The Eaedar were one of them.
The Eaedar were divine beasts, crafted with godly powers that originated from unique markings individuals would carry. Their sole purpose, to carry out a task given to them by their markings.
The war extincted them.
...mostly. They now exist in a spirit like form, and need to possess hosts to carry out purpose.
Ikkido is the last of the Eaedar with a physical body.
When everything around her was falling, when her kin died one by one, she was but a confused, enraged juvenile. Yet without marks, emotionally torn, she hunted down those who had hunted her kin, and for it she was granted her marks, her designed purpose to avenge those who were wronged.
But in creating such a thing, she was filled with bloodlust, and anger. The gods feared her existence and had thrown her into a seal.
...thousands of years later, she was found by a rogues guild.
Originally, she was in a statue going to be sold. But the guild had awoken her, and took her in as one of their own.
Still a teenager, she grew up learning not how to be an Eaedar, but rather a mortal.
Ikkido spends most of her time in a humanoid form (it's a 'human' form but without a mentor she's not great at using Eaedar magic), it's connection to her Eaedar form, and it's nature is limited.
She doesn't experience her feral forms bloodlust and anger, but she also doesn't have a strong connection to its magic.
She prefers her mortal form, being rather freaked out by her true form, almost considering it another persona.
Ikkido is someone that has a very hard time giving trust to. She understands the world is not kind, and she's extremely selfish, making her own survival and comfort a priority just under those that she cares for.
She's not outright rude, or mean, and her impulse to live on dangerous thrills, and upbeat, chaotic attitude make her pretty fun to be around. "Gremlin" is a good way to describe her, she's not opposed to destroying things, or disobeying laws to get her plans. She tends to get into a lot of unfathomable situations, and danger. She learned from the best after all.
Ikkido is also extremely loyal to those who win over her trust. She can be self sacrifical to the right people, and she spoils them with love that she usually only gives herself.
As an Eaedar, Ikkido is rather...confident, and egotistical in nature. She doesn't flaunt it but she very much believes she's special, powerful and demands attention and respect. She has a bloated ego, in other words.
As a young adult she's learned to hold back violent urges, in both forms. But she still doesn't mind giving into it for the right people. She especially enjoys using violence on assholes she thinks deserves it.
As an Eaedar she's also an embodiment of "sin", and element that means she's the opposite of gods, or "holy" element. It is simply the removal of holiness, but it isn't "demonic.". She also has a lot of abilities that involve blood being shed, and she has a link to the blood moon that makes her more powerful.
She doesn't know how to use her Eaedar abilities very well, however. And prefers to stick to her mortal learned skills, she claims they're much more comfortable, and she'd rather stab someone than use blood magic any day.
