Everyone has a trigger, this is one of mine. It's not funny to me, and it's factually incorrect. In the real world, if you went poking fun at someone for how they look, just because it's "funny" to you, you'd end up in trouble for it. "But it's a fictional character!" is no excuse. Treat whatever with the respect it deserves.

I can get some stuff like lets say...someone was openly poking fun of a characters skin colour or something, or obvious signs that its a disability, because those things reflect IRL a lot, even in fiction.
Were talking about a literal godamn fictional creature, nothing I know IRL suffers discrimination for having buttwings, if the character was bald then yes maybe.
If it had a lot of tumors? Yes, again, maybe.
But in this case people literally do not have buttwings and are not hurt from not having them.
Nearly everyone I know calls them buttwings. Because their wings. Placed on a butt, if this is an actual trigger that causes you to get flashbacks, have panick attacks and maybe do horrible things to yourself, your right its not funny.
But if it is you need help. Badly. Not everyone is going to conform to avoid your triggers if their that obscure, that common.
You need to work to fix it.
I have triggers, I have things that cause me to get flashbacks and get panic attacks and do things to hurt myself bc i get into bad places so I understand where your coming from but this is just silly, you need help. And not everyone needs to change how things work for you over something obscure.
I don't even think your using the term right, if you just get angry. That's an insult to actual people with PTSD and other mental illnesses with actual triggers you know, thats a lot more hurtful than you claiming people using a joke term makes you angry (Because that only hurts you).
Also if its your trigger you should probably be trying to avoid it then, rather than hunting down people and hounding them, it hurts you, and it'll make you an asshole.

Believe it or not it HURTS me because I have a disorder and I cant get into arguments because guess what? I get down very easily and it turns into something dangerous :^)
Rather than spending you time being an asshole and hounding people either A: Get fucking help on your trigger if its an actual one

So because it's not a real thing...it can't be hurtful to anyone? Is that the logic? They're tails. Placed exactly where they should be. The only thing that says "wings" is appearance and appearance alone, because they've never functioned as such in any media that wasn't fanon. And no, I don't get flashbacks or panic attacks or some PTSD over it, I get annoyed. It's perfectly reasonable for someone who likes something to get annoyed when people are blindly making fun of what they think is sooo hilarious.
Also, trigger is a vast word that can mean anything to set someone or something off. Don't put words in my mouth that saying "trigger" is me delegitimizing or insulting anybody else. Soon you'll be saying that being hurt is an insult to people in critical care in hospitals.
As for the arguing aspect, I started with simply pointing out they're tails. That's all I did before other guy showed up, as he always does. I'm free to point out details of something I actually like and/or care about. I also don't intentionally look up this trigger, I look up a Pokemon I like and occasionally come across decent or good things that get ruined because "Ha, buttwings make it all funnier!" It's like getting a cake that someone then spits on, because "Ha, it's a prank!" or something equally stupid.
Finally, don't act like you know everything about me because I comment like this on dA. I take perfectly fine care of myself, because dealing with this is literally less than 1% of my day. If it's such a small matter to you, I'm amazed you're so fired up over someone calling out that the joke is wrong.
