The Adventures of Detective Pinkie and Detective Twilight: Episode 1, A new start.

A loud screech filled the Ponyville train station as the morning train pulled in for a stop. The doors opened to allow passengers to leave and go to their destination. Different kind of ponies filed out of the train with their bags in tow, among them was a light purple unicorn with a dark blue mane and tail with a dark purple and light pink streaks going through them. On her thighs was a large, pinkie star shaped cutie mark with smaller white stars surrounding it. On top of her head was a large grey checkered hat, covering some of her mane. Behind her a pink mare with pink poofy hair hopped out of the train, smiling a mile wide, her grey hat bouncing off and on her head as she went. In her mane a red present with a yellow ribbon stuck out, while a rolled up scroll stuck out from her tail. She had no bags with her like the unicorn had.

She hopped around the purple unicorn before stopping in front of her. The unicorn smiled and placed her brown suitcase down. "Well, Pinkie Pie," she said, "are you ready for our new lives in Ponyville? Mayor Mare should be arriving soon to escort us to our new home."

"Totally!" Pinkie cheered. "I hope they throw us a surprise party too! Wouldn't that be amazing?! What a way to welcome two new ponies from Canterlot! I can already see the balloons, the streamers, the cake," she let out a large gasp as her eyes glowed, "and pin-the-tail on the pony!" She grabbed the mare by her shoulders and shook her. "Wouldn't that be amazing, Twilight?!"

"Y-yeah," Twilight answered, trying not to throw up her breakfast from all the movement. Once Pinkie released her, she shook her head to clear her dizziness and to restore the world around her back into one piece. She smiled weakly. "But nothing could compare to a Pinkie Pie party." She pointed her right hoof at her friend's cutie mark; three balloons, two blue and one yellow.

"You bet!" Pinkie looked as if she was going to say more, but another voice cut her off.

"I hope I didn't keep you two waiting long."

Both of them turned their heads to see a brown mare heading towards them. She had a short grey mane and a long grey tail, each having a bit of a curl to them. Her cutie mark was a white scroll with a blue ribbon tied around it. There was no doubt in Twilight's mind that this was the mayor.

"Not at all," Twilight said, "we just got here." Out of the corner of her eyes she saw Pinkie staring at the blue puff that stuck out from the mayor's collar. Quietly lighting up her horn, she used her magic to hold Pinkie's hooves into place as the mayor stopped before them.

"My name is Mayor Mare. I'm the mayor here in Ponyville."

"I'm Twilight Sparkle and this is my assistant, Pinkie Pie."

"Hi there!"

"It's nice to meet you both." Mayor Mare fixed her glasses before continuing to speak, "Normally there isn't a lot of crime in Ponyville, but it'll be great to have two detectives living in town just in case something happens. Especially two from Canterlot." She turned around. "Come along now. It's time I showed you two your new home so you can get settled in."

Twilight released her magic on Pinkie and picked up her suitcase. She followed behind the mayor while Pinkie hopped beside her.

I hope to make this a series. This is an alternet universe where Pinkie and Twilight are two detectives from Canterlot, sent to Ponyville by Princess Celestia herself. They're fresh out of the detective academy, so they're not really famous yet, but hopefully solving crimes in Ponyville will fix that, even if Ponyville has a low record of crimes happening.
