I know that, I mean 7-to-8. The bullets were in his shoulder and knee. He woulda been totally removed once those were fine, but ... nope. I mean, granted, if some crazy guy with no name started yelling at me that he wasn't human I probably wouldn't listen to him, but never ever say 'Here, let me try something' before any kind of surgical procedure.

So I've heard. I'm a member over at The McGann Library [link] and was surprised and thrilled to see, not only the many pictures of him, but how many (especially ladies) people he took pictures with. The ladies who went in those pictures were so lucky! A hug or a kiss with him?! Oh my gosh! I'd melt just being in the same ROOM as that man!

Yeah, I was sitting there knocking back my Over 9000th G&T and berating my friend for not buying Naoko Mori a drink before she left ... I saw Paul come in at the bar and chickened out of doing the same ... then he disappeared and a minute later he'd snuck up on me and said 'I know who you are!' (as opposed to 'I know who I am'?) and pecked me on the cheek and sat down with us.
And my brain just kinda sploded. Fortunately (according to my friend) I was actually rather outwardly calm about it, and we got to talk on Sunday afternoon at a bit more length than crowded bar allowed. He is seriously so much like 8, or at least was when in the vicinity of something shiny.
Though I sat in the hotel room sort of quiet for about ten minutes later that night before finally looking at my friend and going '....... DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?' Oh, dear.
God, I loved the shout-out. 8 fans can be sad that way, can't we? We go crazy for two seconds of footage reminding everyone that he's canon. *sniff* I hope The Moff as head writer increases our chances of another multi-Doctor story, even if it's just a short (but utterly awesome) blip like 'Time Crash.'

lol I don't blame you one bit for how you acted. Though I think it was probably a good thing you went into that sort of outwardly calm mode. (As opposed to the somewhat spastic and insane squealing fangirl reaction. I remember reading some fan's evening out at a party where David Tennant was at. She wanted to go up to talk to him, but most every time he was preoccupied or, at the last, there was this really annoying fangirl who would NOT leave him alone, though he was looking mighty uncomfortable and wanted to leave. The watching fangirl did the respectful thing and just let the poor guy alone. )
Almost hard to believe that, waaayy back (from what I read) in the beginning, he didn't want to go to any conventions, and look at him now! Not only going to them but being such a sweethearted flirt!

*^_^*U I know. We 8th Doctor fangirls can't help it any. The movie really didn't do him the justice he deserved (though I think the audio books, at the very LEAST, are more than making up for it. How was it said? That, out of all of the Doctors, the 8th, spanning all media, he is the most prolific of them all! Talk about some major lovin!).
Ohhh I would just LOVE it if he would come up with another multi-Doctor story. To be honest, that's what I loved the most from the classic series. Those specials where several Doctors came together. I don't know why exactally... maybe getting to see their personalities all come together and intermingle and spark. There's just something interesting and fun about it.
I agree with you. Even a tiny 'blip' like Time Crash would make me an uber happy fangirl if it involves 8. *^_^*
Shame he isn't brought up in the things I've been reading about the 2011 movie.
The most I've read is that it'll involve Ten and Rose. (Maybe the Handy / Ten Doctor is what is meant? I don't know. I shouldn't get ahead of myself there and start hypothesizing. )
lol Great to hear you're enjoying my art. If I could just get out of this blasted little art block / slump I'm in, I'd be so happy. But, I've been through this enough times to know that I just need to sit back, unwind, and inspiration will come back when it comes back.

Oh, God, yeah, Paul was an incredible flirt. Not that I mind ... *ahum* It caught me well off-guard, but I sort of get the feeling that was really fun for him. *snrx* Sunday was adorable. He kept hugging the rock and wondering if he'd leaned against it 20 years ago. Makes me wish I'd brought back an extra, but this is not the sort of eventuality you plan for ... :/
Hopefully will get to run into him again someday. Unlikely, but hey, one can dream.
As for artistic slump, I really know how that is. (Nine years comicking, it happens a lot.) If you ever wanna try a trade sometime, I find that helps me on occasion. ^_^ Don't necessarily mean now, but if you randomly ever feel like it, I'm fine with that sort of thing, even on short notice.
