So, some of you may remember a little story named Amongst Other Things that started on fanfiction.net as a Kirby human au fanfic, then turned into an original story, and disappeared for, well, a long time. Here's news that it is in fact NOT DEAD and it's going into it's second draft even! A lot has changed (man, just look at the characters themselves!) but I'm really happy with it! Haha, this actually started out as some anatomy practice (which is still a little wonky for me as well as perspective) with a stock image (posted below) then exploded into "I REALLY MISS DRAWING THESE GUYS." I also found a new coloring style/brush that I really really like.
From left to right (fanfic names, which some of you may know better in parenthesis): Will (Daroach), Henrietta (Adeleine), Chris (Kirby), Scott (Meta Knight), Jack (Marx). I'll have to do Huan (Zero-Two), Liz (Ribbon), and maybe Olivia (Drawcia) later!

Haha this is awesome! Man, I wish I could draw my (admittedly human) characters this well! They never turn out how I need them to on paper, and then I just sort of feel awful because I imagine them giving me dirty and or sulky looks because I so clearly messed them up.
And then I feel so bad I scribble all over it and start over D:
This looks great! Loving the brush. And ugh - proportions and perspective. It's sort of just a trial and error thing. You look back a year or more later on old work and laugh at yourself for all the mistakes you *eventually* learned how to fix.
My most recent issue is canine legs. Why? I don't know. But I'm putting joints all over the place where they don't go - and even though I *know* they don't go there, they end up there, anyways.
Rude anatomy never listening to your brain. It is is conspiracy with your pencil.

Thank you so much!! It had been such a long time since I had drawn any of them, so I think it just kinda exploded and turned out a lot better than I expected. Though, even after drawing them for ages (around seven years now), sometimes they don't turn out I like them to. I'm sure your characters look awesome! 
Haha, yeah...Jack on the right looks like a beast compared to tiny Will. I'm p sure they were supposed to be the same size-ish, but NOPE, WE GET HULK-JACK. Yeah, faces used to (and still sometimes, but not as much) be a pain in the you-know-what for me to the point where I'd just draw a circle/oval and be done. Now I think they're looking a bit better! Agreed!
