Man, when I saw that you were doing commissions I was by myself like.. 'darn, I want one!'.. alas, I can't afford it which fills me with everlasting regret..
Darn you, student loans!
..
I can't blame you for the prices to. I myself ask 10 USD for a drawing and an animation is just so much more time consuming seeing as you make multiple drawings as frames and all. It's impressive work. Lip syncing particular seems like a tough job to do, isn't it? I don't think I ever saw you do that on your streams.
I like to think though, since I shared this post on twitter that it was through me that some people found their way to your page. ^^

Thank you so much for your interest! I am in much the same boat financially unfortunately, so I do understand!
I rate based on the time which can be a lot depending on the complexity, so I do need to price them as such. Lip sync was hard at first, but now I really enjoy it. I think I did it once on stream? It's not terribly exciting to watch I'm afraid, because most of it is sound based so I wasn't able to narrate due to listening to the dialogue.
I saw that - thank you so so much!! I really appreciate it!

It's certainly a fair price. The number was daunting to me, however, because it was in USD and the dollar is worth less then the euro. Looking at that I think some other European costumers may be more tempted.
Now, I've never been a major at animation aside from game-art, but a I correct in saying that if you go for lip-syncing you should look more at the letters of a word rather then the word itself? Like the ''M'' has a very distinct lip movement for example. Sorry, this stuff interested the heck out of me! I think I missed that stream though, which could be correct as I missed two.
Oh.. and yes, you're welcome ofcourse!

That makes sense!
I aim for more hard consonants (like p/b/k/etc.), vowels shapes ("ah"/"ee"/"eh"/"oh"/"oo"), as well as distinct shapes like you mentioned for "m" and "l". In my experience, it's better to get the overall dialogue than every single shape, unless a word is strongly emphasized. In that way, it's similar to animation itself where you're aiming more for the strong "hits" than every single image in an action. It's also very dependent on how the voice actor reads the dialogue that I choose how best to do the lip sync. Of course, if I'm really not sure about a shape, I'll sometimes read the dialogue myself and look in a mirror for reference. No worries - it's definitely some of my favorite animation to do! Or really any animation that has to do with syncing up with sound - I watched Looney Tunes cartoons all the time as a kid and they definitely influenced me haha
