Rankin/Bass Christmas movies have a big soft spot in my heart, which make for great inspiration for Christmas art! Some of these movies took up a significant chunk of my childhood memories during the holidays. I might think 'Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town' is one of the cheesier of these films, I still think it is the 'good', sentimental kind of cheesy. There are still moments in that movie that make me smile, but I would say the Winter Warlock's mini character arc, especially with the VERY catchy and inspirational song "Put One Foot in Front of the Other", really gives me the warm, fuzzy feelings. I think the idea of adults still finding joy in whimsy, like with toys, really hits me in the feels!

His design is definitely the hardest one to draw from the movie, but I'm glad I didn't give up on it (even if I still debate whether I drew the lineart too thickly and whether I showed his 'melting' adequately).
