Description
This is cake number 2 for February and it is for a former friend who I will always have positive memories of so that's why I do a cake for them every year. I chose Maka as the first cake I did for them was Excalibur from Soul Eater plus she was the one who recommended Soul Eater to me which is still an awesome anime with an epic soundtrack :3. Plus Maka was the first ever Soul Eater character I drew so I thought she was the best choice =^-^=, chose to draw her without the jacket as I prefer her shirt and vest look. The reason why most of this cake's sections are red is due to me associating red with them not sure if there is a reason other than them saying they had red highlights, might be they like fire Pokemon a lot too though.

I feel like I draw the icing a lot bigger now compared to other drawings, I need to look back and check but it was a feeling I had during this cake drawing and the melon cake one. I brought back the berries cause they are nice simple yet decorative item that I feel does add to a cake, I kept the sweets simple as I usually use them to fill space :3. I feel a little happier with the bottom of the cakes icing compared to the melon cake one as I feel it has a slightly more interesting pattern but I still need to work on it. The Maka drawing was quite easy and simple to draw, may be my quickest anime character drawing so far , getting the pigtails took a few attempts and was not sure how to get her exact hair colour which looks like a gray blonde so I just mixed gray and yellow.
