Description
I was looking back at the Rebirth characters and I felt like I wanted to re draw my first drawing of Aris as I felt I made her look a lot younger than the other characters. I think the design here looks a lot smoother but at the same time I think the original looked kind of more charming like it had a distinct style. In the story I stopped before her arc where she was going to get a major win then lose to the main which was going to make her feel that another character undermined her accomplishment just because they wanted to beat her. Could see myself being tempted to re draw other Rebirth characters and maybe makes ones I have had planned for like a year o-o.

For the Rebirth characters I was doing a basic info card set up to make this series feel unique, they say Elemental Zone which is what the Zone water, wind and fire belong too. Her age of 14 cause and her deck type of Water in the original drawing it said "class mate" but felt that info didn't matter so switched to type. I kind of wonder if the taller design makes her look older, if I draw her again I will probably try and scale her down a bit. I sort of worried about the upper body being too wide I do like this re draw it's just it honestly made me appreciate the original more as it reminded me of being more comfortable with gripes I have with my drawings now.
