Description
Azuma is a character I use to like a lot but over time I started to not be as into her, I have not drawn her in a while and I thought this reading would make for a nice drawing. She is the last member of the protagonist team to join as she was the only member who was not friends with one of the initial 3 club members, she is someone who struggles with her studies despite trying her best. At first a teacher feels she shouldn't be a part of a club but after she joins, she starts being able to focus more and she is meant to be the second-best member of the main 5. Near the end she starts helping Miya Miya improve but is sadly easily beaten in the final tournament by the main.

This is my first time drawing her with the pigtails and I think they look quite cute, the right-side ones were my own attempt at shaping them as she held the book by them in the picture I worked from. For her skirt I mixed purple and red tones a bunch until I felt happy with the tone and then I used a writing pencil for the darker patches (not sure if I feel happy with the result yet). I think the pose looks good and was a nice change from my previous few Bamboo Blade drawings.
