Off the bat the show makes Noboru seem like the jerk rival but as the show progresses you actually start to see a more insecure side to him which quickly made him one of my favourite characters. I don't remember everything about his story but basically he was the number 2 ranked Buddyfight player at his school but he never pushed himself to challenge the number 1. He also used a balanced deck which I believe caused him to rely on stronger cards (can't remember how exactly it was explained) you basically got to see him become more confident in his own skill. He also let a guy beat him in the past because they offered him a card and made him feel he had to pay them back with the loss but in their rematch he goes on to beat the guy with the card to show he moved on from his past =^-^=.

The hair was really tough to draw....I think I shaped it decently well here, I feel this drawing is a bit more in rough territory but does capture Noboru's design. The pattern on his t-shirt is meant to be tiger stripes but other people people refer to him as "Kitten shirt", I think the sort of tiger stripes in his hair looks really cool, he definitely has of of my favourite Buddyfight designs.
