Binary's voice was soft. Faye pulled her hand back from where it gently brushed the android's cheek, a flustered look in her eyes. "I'm sorry," she breathed.

"I appreciate all you have taught me," he said, "and you treat me better than any person I have known. But I am not your Binary."

Voice tight, Faye nodded. "I know. You're just..."

He caught her hand. "I understand. And I would be lying if I said I weren't developing feelings for you," he said, lifting her hand to let a tender kiss linger on her knuckles. "But I don't desire to use your emotions for my duplicate for my own gain."

"I'm falling in love with you," Faye admitted. "But I can't say that it's not because you're so much like the man I love back there. I'm afraid I'll never..."

"You don't think you can find a way back to your reality?" He sounded mildly surprised.

Faye could feel the tears in her eyes now. "The science isn't adding up. I don't know how I can figure out a way back when I don't know how I got here." A tear slid down her cheek. "I don't know if I'll ever see my Bi again."

The android cupped her face in his hands, brushing her tears away with his thumbs with heartbreak in his eyes. "Don't cry, Ms. Hart," he implored. "Don't cry," he repeated, softer this time. He moved in hesitantly towards her, and she towards him, until their lips met in a kiss. He pulled her in close to his chest, his lips moving across her cheeks to kiss away the tears there.

She gripped his shirt tight in her hands, closing her eyes and reveling in each kiss. His lips brushed her ear.

"Faye."

With that word, it was over.
