This is addition to making multiple attempts at killing Dante. This hasn't been a good situation for anybody.

Springtrap: ...Yeah. Yeah, I'm sorry for a lot, too....You were a pissed off kid who got your head chewed on by a mechanical bear, that'll %$# up anybody's decisions.
PANEL 4:
Springtrap: Is this where you've been?
Golden Freddy: Since the fire, yeah.
Springtrap: Oh. I didn't see you since I died, so I didn't know if you had finally gotten to move on, or...
Golden Freddy: No. I didn't want to talk to you. None of the others did, either.
Springtrap: Yeah, I picked up on that.

Sometimes, burned things can be fixed up again. Sometimes not. He wasn't sure what the case was and didn't really care (or have the means to) find out. Better to just retreat into a place that wasn't that, in his mind.
