I pushed this thing to its first natural stop, in the hope that might see the first leg of the story before the end of the month.
Here we see my questioning of basic comic conventions, are bars separating panels even necessary? Because 90% of the time the characters form clusters.

Trying to imagine what would happen if a fight between kids had no adults to break it up, and ran to its natural end. Was more brutal than I imagined, but, the bite had to be bad enough to scar.

Bars aren't necessary to separate panels, you just have to make sure that reader knows what's going on. The best example that comes to my mind is Will Eisner, he often played with drawing full pages like that.

One of people resopnsible for developing comic as a medium and a man who drew first graphic novel. Try asking Google for "will eisner new york big city" and you should find examples of pages like that from last comics he drew. He had some influence on how I draw my comics.
