Very very nice... I'm not sure if I have any proper critique to give, though I thoroughly enjoy the quality of line that you are creating here, and the flow of the design works really well... Ack, I failed at that critique!

Ooh, I love birds of paradise, they're all so crazy and vibrant. Which type is this fellow based off of? The blue kind of reminds me of the ones that make huge faces by flaring out their feathers, if you have any idea of what I'm talking about. Birds of paradise are kind of hard to describe.
Oh, and he looks lonely to me. Sad day.

I'd agree, but strong colors are very very hard to achieve without photo editing when you're working out of watercolor trays, there just simply isn't enough pigment.
I definitely know what you mean though, I'm tired of all my paintings turning out brown and grey.

(plus, I think brown and grey are somewhat charming when combined with cool drawings)

I have really enjoyed seeing this 'series' of images you have been posting (is it a series? They all seem somewhat similar). This one, however, definitely takes the cake in terms of coloring and general awesomeness. You almost make me want to get back into watercolors.
