Description
Last weekend I bought a new book "The Artist's Complete Guide to Facial Expression" By Gary Faigin to help me portray more complex/interesting emotion and personality in my works, so expect more portraits in the near future.I was going for a stern looking individual who thinks everyone including the viewer is inferior, I wasn't originally planning on it becoming a king but as the piece progressed it just cried out king to me.
Over all, I think I've accomplished my original intent.
Hope you enjoy

Never knew Iβd see a pompous puppy! So awesome! Your works are so detailed and you make them look plausible too, itβs great!

You learned well I agree, the pose needs a king.

Thank you. Itβs a great book; both informative and inspiring.
I'm finding it especially fun trying to make Human emotions work on an Anthroβs facial structure, itβs a wonderful challenge.

That's been a challenge for me as well. In the last month I finally worked out how to draw a horses profile good enough to suit me (which isn't easy and anthropomorphizing it has been a big challenge. I'm studying the muscularity, skin, fur and skeleton of the horse head to see if I could do something. Your book may be a big help too
. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
