I put my shadowy neko-mata from earlier in the corner. It's loosely based off of the same character as this guy, so I thought it would go well. I'm just going to copy and paste my previous description of this picture.

"Here's a quick sketch of a character I'm creating that fits into the universe of "Rosario + Vampire". His name is Chance Illuser, but his nickname is "Rusty" because of the rust colored streak he has in his hair. He also has rust colored markings in his neko-mata form, but no one is supposed to see his true form (like every other monster in the academy).

Rusty's a pure blooded neko-mata and his parents hate the idea of him going to the Yokai Academy. His parents don't want him to associate with hybrid monsters. In fact, they think that going to a specialized school to learn to coexist with humans is absurd. Rusty's in the school because his grandfather allowed him to go.

Rust is not a typical neko-mata. He's kind to a fault. He refuses to eat meat, which leaves him very weak. (Cats are carnivores, so leaving meat of of Rust's diet probably isn't the best idea for him.) That being said, keeping his human form is incredibly difficult for him. A few cat-like attributes are obvious; his cat-like pupils and enlarged canine teeth. He also has a scar on his forehead, which becomes a third eye when Rust sees ghosts/spirits. Rust grows his hair long in the front to cover up his eyes and his scar a little.

Rust seems unapproachable, but he's actually very friendly. He's just really shy. ^_^ "
