I had once promised myself i'd redraw this every year so i could see my progress but I fell out of love with art for a while, but here i am! Redrawing it... I ended up using this as an experiment to try diff things pls excuse the shoddy attempt at a bg

Unfortunately i don't quite remember the original emotions I had intended for the piece. All i remember was it was supposed to be metaphorical for something seeing as dragonflies are my fav animals and I had originally wanted the girl to look a bit like me at the time haha. I do remember my original vision for it was supposed to look like some girl crouched in a forest-y area looking over her shoulder while munchin on a dragonfly, but i definitely didnt have the skill to try that so i just went with a headshot. Maybe next year i will attempt that seeing as I can semi-confidently draw half body humans now lol
