wanted to draw a deer skull :3still trying to catch up lol hopefully on my next day off from work i will have time
i'm happy with this one. i feel like a lot of times i try to rely on color to make my drawings pop because i feel like my linework and stuff is not strong enough to stand alone. and i hope you guys appreciate the spiderwebs 'cause i had to temporarily suppress my irrational fear of spiders to pull up some spiderweb photos for reference

Your referencing really shows in the final product, this looks incredible and realistic. I feel you on the inking stuff, and I love how you went for and committed to using heavy black but also breaking it up with those delicate lines so it wasn’t just a mass of darkness and more like something alive and directing your attention upwards. It grabs your eye and leads you to the beautiful finer details.

i think this is definitely my fave inktober piece. i still feel like i used too much black on the bottom but i really enjoyed doing the details/textures and whatnot

I’m glad you’re happy with how it came out!! It’s definitely a v strong piece, it’d be cool to see you experiment more with stuff like this, though maybe with less spiders for your sake cackles
