Description YAY, for the last 3 days I have been after this bird constantly. After i posted the titmouse shot, I went back in the living room sat down in a chair and looked outside. I saw this fellow on a tree right by my house. I opened the window, and snapped away. I only got 2 shots, because the flash scared him away, but luckily this shot was clearly in focus. I always seem to get shots, when its totally not expected.

Beautiful photo. :3 I just ran a search on bluejays for some references for their color pattern.. and this is an interesting-looking 'jay. The ones around where I live have a more pointy crest of feathers on their heads. This one looks funny to me since it just has a round little head. XD

I dont really take deviant seriously. Im pretty new to deviantart, I just post recent pictures on deviant, just to see what common people say and to help me know what they like. I have taken some fabulous pictures in the past, and have not sold many of them at art shows, Its stunning to see what people buy. I have this baby turtle shot, first hatched, and its ofcourse a macro, and the turtle is totally blurred, but yet it sells like crazy. So, im right now im trying to use deviantart to see what people prefer. It gives me a good insight, before I go to some of these art shows.

I would have to disagree, Considering I focused on the eyes. Although there are several levels of focusing. Most photos even taken by professionals are not as sharp as they could be. You get a very few, that are. But the bluejay I posted was not edited at all. All my work I post on deviant, has very little editing on them, because im to lazy to transfer them to my other working computer where I have all my tools on. I usually transfer a lot of photos that need to be printed all at once, instead of doing them 1 by 1. . thx for the comments tho

it;s a great image, don;t get me wrong. I just lacks that last bit of pop to make it truly excellent. I am talking about the sharpness and pop like this one [link]

Like i said, it hasnt been edited at all. But that photo is nice, very sharp, only thing I dont like is the fence . I guess its a personal thing, I cant stand any wildlife on man-made objects. but thx

I see these fellas all the time where I live, most people don't like them because they are greedy when it comes to food, but they are a beautiful bird.

he wasnt cropped ! if the dof was wider, it would of ruined the picture, unless your talking about having the tail more in focus, anyway thanks

nice shot, nice crop, and sharper than your last few. I still think the dof could have been wider. Otherwise realy good catch.

man, those birds like those slanted branches haha. makes it a lot more interesting

bluejays around my area have a crest thing on their head...? at least i'm pretty sure they're bluejays...
