Shrunken people are holding a first annual marathon for the awareness and safety of shrunken citizens. They even went to city hall to get it approved, although not everybody made it back alive. However, the mayor wasn't about to waste police time and effort to protect these people so it was deemed an at-your-own-risk activity. Everything was going fine, minus a few accidental squishes and a run-in with a hungry dog. That was until a young woman by the name of Deeane spotted the spread-out group of tiny people while on her mid-morning jog. She couldn't believe it, she'd found (and pulverized) shrunken people all over the city but never in great numbers like this. "This oughta' be fun" she said as she kicked off her running shoes and held them by the heel counters. She wanted to feel the blood and life ooze out of her victims. These people were no longer running for a cause. They were running for their lives.

I chose a sidewalk settings because I like the the theme of strangers. (Sorry to make this sound like an art assignment) She doesn't know who she's crushing and she doesn't care; she's just doing it for fun.
