i used this tutorial and it was quite useful though I used more layers than I probably should have I used Paint tool sai I'm not sure if Photoshop or Paint Tool Sai would have been a better choice or not though... What do you think??

I've never really understood the Luminosity setting..I use it sometimes but a lot of the times I can't really see why I use it and what the difference is....any advice?

luminosity basically makes whatever on it brighter and a bit glowy!

This is great! but maybe a suggestion.
I think the tutorial would be much better if you included short descriptions or what you did each step either on the tutorial picture itself or in the description. Something like: 'Here i used (insert tool used) to (briefly explain what you did).' (and maybe mention when you would change a layer from normal to luminosity, overlay, etc.) It's not much but i really do think it would improve these already amazing tutorials.

Ich versteh die Tutorials von diesem User auch nicht so richtig.
Es wird leider nicht leichter verständlich dadurch, dass keine Erklärungen/ Beschreibungen zu den einzelnen Schritten gemacht werden.
Übrigens witzig, dass wir durch Zufall auf dieselben Bilder/ Tutorials auf DA stoßen.

It's because he failed to explain alongside, making t
his being just a painting process, not an actual tutorial. In that case, feel free to use layers as you feel like, if you're afraid of not being able to undo it, more is better, then flatten, and then repeat layering process.
