I think you can use any hard round brush. Just vary the opacity a little ^^

i tried it, but it looks different. The lines always looks harder, whatever how often i change the brush or the opacity. For example, my transition at the end of a line is always harder than yours. So i thought you may have an other program with/or other brushes?? I've only the standard brushes in photoshop.
I don't understand why it doesn't work.

Oh, heh, I'm not ryky
But I'm 99% sure that this drawing was done in SAI using the marker and the pen tool.
Now let's go though this ... step 1 was created with the marker, step 2 and 3 with the pen tool at about 50% opacity and thaz x-shape arrow thingy (it's included in SAI)
4 to 6 are using the same tool, increasing the opacy from about 70 to 100% (he uses orange-yellow-ish tones to highlight)
7 is just a lighter version of 6 I think ... 8 uses a soft, big eraser and 9 a soft pen to highlight (the contrast is also higher here)

Sorry I had to make a seperate comment as I blocked useless tragic person. and I should have said what he's done to you coz Benjamin is a boy ! lol. Guess I wrotte fast coz I was pissed of at tragic stupidity. I mean, you can say that you don't like something or that it's not well-done in your mind or wathever, but there it's just over the top. Yep exactly.. And too easy to do that hidden behind your computer... Such a coward ! Anyway, gave me the chance to discover more about benjamin's fine tutorials and great art so I'm greateful in a way. But wasn t expecting to find worst than spambots and I did tonight with TheTragicAss, itΒ reminded me of how stupid people can be. A thing I ve kinda have forgotten with the great artists/interresting people I met on DA.
