It's SAI, the brush is next to every frame he changes it.

More like a step-by-step than a tutorial... Cool anyway, I suppose.

It wasn't a question. More like a state of fact that the title of the tutorial is named James P Sullivan...

Nice... I can't draw fur at all myself.
I would say though that the last stage looks a bit too clumpy for Sully's fur... the way he was in the film I thought it was quite coarse fur where you could see the individual strands more clearly rather than in soft clumps. Still really nice fur though.

I guess this is his scalp? Very bizarre fur direction otherwise.

Not much of a tutorial if you don't explain what's going on...

I believe this tutorial is aimed at people who already know how to paint and do basic things, it's pretty obvious what's going on here if you'v painted long or use SAI much.

Yeah, and it's not a good fur tutorial if it's just on a ball... the most important thing about drawing fur is that it'll go in certain directions on the body, not just spiral.

You are one of the few people who notice this, good job. This isn't really a tutorial ... :/

Its pretty self explanatory but il try to explain it for you.
*ahem*
Ryky starts by drawing a circle with dark blue, after she uses her pen setting (as shown) to make strokes along side the circle
along with some stroke of a lighter shade of blue, with probably what looks like the opacity turned down.
She then changes her brush settings once more and continues making brush stroke inside the ball (which she uses as an //example// meaning when using this tutorial youll have to figure out where the fur goes yourself)
She keeps over laying the strokes in a circular pattern and then changes the brush settings once more creating highlights in the fur ball
Then uses purple to create the spots in the fur over layers it with another shade of lighter purple, then in the last ball she highlights the spots fur with smaller strokes.
She used Photoshop to do this.
