Description
While camping in Northern Maine, a severe thunderstorm formed directly over Mount Ketahdin just as the sun was setting. On the left side of the frame the sun is just outside the frame, about the drop below the horizon. On the right side of the frame, you can see it raining heavily. I had never seen a thunderstorm become colorful from a sunset, it was absolutely bizarre. It almost looked like the nice weather was fighting with the storm. The line of trees in the middle is an island on Pockwockamus Lake. I was camping in an unincorporated area of Piscataquis County, many miles from the nearest town.
