A character design I came up with today - I always wanted a really pretty black/brown wolf with creamy accents, but I never sat down and designed one~--

Heh, yeah she is. x3 I picked a good ref picture but even then she came out prettier than I anticipated. <3 At least in my tastes. Basing off nature really works sometimes.

Natural designs are the best types, in my opinion. I just can't handle over-the-top characters that defy anything normal, unless they're mythical or something. xD

They are JUST for my own personal fun when I want something MEGA COLORFUL to color or wacky to doodle. I do have them cast in a story of my own, but they're changed to IRL dog mixes with the realistic styles and colors that come with them.

I mean like characters that have too many piercings, massive hair, countless accessories and eye burning colours. xD
I know some people base their characters from themselves but, how could those things represent someone in any way? I just don't get people sometimes. xD

Nah, Skeeter is the tame-looking one. Which matches his personality.
HA SPARKLEDOGS. (have I been using a lot of caps lately? I been using a lot of caps lately...) They make me giggle. I like to make them for fun but I would never seriously have one as a character. Unrealistically colored canine? Yeah maybe, sure. Sparkledog? Noottt really to my taste.

Caps are a good way to get a joke or point across.
I was trying my hardest not to use the term 'sparkledog' or we'll end up with a war going on. xD
I have no problem with unrealistically coloured canines, but sparkledogs are just, well, the majority are blindingly ugly.
Not all of them, but a few are just.. umm.. bleh? so hard to explain...
