Description
Smallfry and Maws won the Discord request I put out for Salmon Run boss drawings, so naturally I decided to combine the two

I actually really loved making this picture; I haven't seen much art where the Salmonids are peaceful or living their lives so I was glad to make just that

Ended up drawing an old Run veteran teaching a group of Smallfry how to make the same graffiti seen around the Salmon Run maps; she got out her old gear for the occasion and stocked the lantern with a glowfly (which may or may not be a good idea depending on the Smallfry)

I purposely implied the one pog-facing at the lantern is in fact a future Goldie lol

They're at a lake (river)side due to salmon lifecycles; fry are born/spawned in freshwater before traveling out to sea, so these little guys are spending some final days in training before heading on their first run to the ocean
