One foot in front of another.
Don’t look down,
There is an endless fall down there
With the wind blowing
Blood-curdling screams in your ear.
Don’t look up,
Plastered glass forces back the sky
Without an exit to flee
But into empty silent air.
Don’t look back.
There isn’t enough room to turn around
And faces have become blank,
Emotionless without a care.
Look ahead,
And into the unknown.
Not knowing what lies before you,
But a destiny shrouded in fog.
