I got myself a cat. He's 14 years old little purr machine.Tried to draw this using him as a reference, but I had to improvise quite a lot since he couldn't stay still at all, haha.

Using animals as references seems fun until you actually try it. I went to zoo once and I wasn't capable of drawing almost anything.
Nice pose! It had to be difficult to chatch him laying like that. (that paw had me like )
His fur is oustanding, I especially adore how gently you managed to draw his stripes. Combined with warm colour edit it's joy to look at this picture.

YEAH I totally agree with you. Should just take a photo and draw from that, haha. There's rarely a camera available when you need one though. sigh

Nah, it's only for good you had moving reference, the experience will become useful with no camera around someday.
