(I guess this is technically fanart, but somehow the catagory doesn't quite fit the picture...)

Who is Flower?

Flower is the leader of the Whiskers meerkat mob. Despite her name, Flower is far from delicate - she's as tough as they come, and nobody gives her crap without getting likewise from her. This is her anthro version.

Being the matriach, she's an older meerkat, but being a lady, that doesn't mean she won't try to look younger. Her short hairstyle is both easy to mantain and fasionable. Same for the earrings and the blue tanktop.

Her eyes were going to be brown, but that didn't work with the color scheme and I tried green instead. Not only does the color work for her, but it also reflects the unbridled envy she has for other meerkats, including those outside the Whiskers mob.

Why is she angry? Well, being the leader, Flower has to deal with the constant problems thrown at her (courtesy of fellow meerkats, especially family members), along with issues of daily life. Most of the time, she's usually pretty pent-up with anger or frustration. I'd imagine she's screaming, "What the hell is going on here?!"

So, that's Flower for you.

What is Meerkat Manor?

The idea came from the new Animal Planet show, Meerkat Manor . It follows the daily life of a meerkat mob, named "Whiskers" by the Cambridge University students and local zoologists in the Kalahari. It's fun and amazingly cute, but also has elements of excitement, suspense, and hope.

I strongly suggest anyone who has Animal Planet to watch some of the episodes. The older ones air sporadically (check local listings), and new ones air every Friday.
