Nope, not another personal piece (if it were, I'd be calling for help). This one is more of a commentary...

(and before you ask what the spies are holding... they're guns. That's why it's called "Assisted Suicide," okay? ... yeah, I couldn't draw them very well, because of the awkward position, but they are guns! )

So, here's my beef - I have a few friends who are into "Spy vs Spy" slash. Yup, the White Spy and the Black Spy as lovers. Now, my initial reaction was, "Wha? Seriously? But, don't they want to - ya know - kill each other?"

But, because I'm such a nice person, and because I know everyone has different tastes (be they mine or not), I let it slide. It was just a few friends into this stuff; if it's what they like, fine. I'm not gonna condone it (I haven't commented on the content of a SvS slash picture, though I have occasionally commented on the artistic technique if it's particularly well done), and I'm certainly not gonna draw it myself. But, if that's what they like, fine.

The more I saw, the more I shut my mouth and just said nothing. Again, personal tastes.

Recently, though, I came across one person's entire gallery (a whole gallery, folks) of "Spy vs Spy" slash (with a few other random things inbetween, but mostly SvS slash). I never said a word, but mentally... that was the last straw.

Honestly, I can see when someone might pair up two male characters in a show... if they actually like each other. But this... this makes no sense. Literally, no sense. For Pete's sake, people, how much clearer can it be made:

WHITE SPY AND BLACK SPY DO NOT "LIKE" EACH OTHER! THEY AREN'T EVEN FRIENDS! THEY HATE EACH OTHER - THEY WANT TO KILL EACH OTHER!

I apologize to all parties directly involved... not for what I said, but for how I said it. I really am sorry if what I said upset you, but that's honestly how I feel.
